For Justice

14th Court of Appeals, Place 3

Vision

A Vision For The Future: Fairness, Equality and Justice For All

With over 30 years of trial experience, I represent a diverse group of clients. I navigate complex civil litigation, adeptly handling cases on both sides of the docket. In the realm of criminal law, I successfully litigate misdemeanor and felony cases.

Flagship Accomplishments

I had the privilege of presenting “Oral Argument” before the Court of Criminal Appeals, the highest Criminal Court in Texas. I am well-versed in the appellate process, handling civil and criminal appeals. I have a published criminal appellate opinion, issued during a challenging period of prior judicial oversight.

Importance of this Race

For some people, the Court of Appeals may be the Court of last resort, for justice. Judges are the Gatekeepers of the law, must be kind to all litigants, rule fairly, and without partiality.

Focus

Committed to delivering dedicated and effective legal representation to those I serve. I believe the 14th Court of Appeals, Place 3, should reflect the diverse fabric of the communities it serves.

If elected, my key priorities include:

  • Equity Initiatives:

    • A robust and unique perspective and examination of appellate cases.
    • Encourage mentorship programs in the communities served by the 14th Court of Appeals.
  • Transparency and Accountability:

    • Provide clear and concise justifications for rulings.
    • Advocate for policies enhancing our legal system’s accountability.
    • NO Politics in our Appellate Courtrooms. Justices are not politicians. We are ELECTED by The PEOPLE, TO ADMINISTER FAIR and EQUITABLE JUSTICE, TO ALL PEOPLE!

The 14th Court of Appeals was established in 1967.

Place 3 was established in 1978.

The 14th Court of Appeals hears intermediate appellate civil and criminal cases from District and County Courts in 10 Counties: Austin, Brazoria, Chambers, Colorado, Fort Bend, Galveston, Grimes, Harris, Waller, and Washington.  This Court reviews cases for evidentiary errors and procedural violations of the law, by lower courts.
